Verification
Members complete verification before they can take part in conversations. This is the first and most important safeguard on Camivo.
You are always in control
You choose who you keep talking to. You can leave a conversation at any moment, and you can block someone so they cannot reach you again.
Advice for a good first conversation
- Keep personal details — your address, workplace, financial information — to yourself until you genuinely trust someone.
- Never send money to someone you met online, however convincing the reason.
- If a conversation makes you uncomfortable, end it. You do not owe anyone an explanation.
- Report behaviour that breaks the guidelines, even if you have already blocked the person — reports help protect others.
What Camivo does
- Reviews reports with human moderators.
- Removes members who break the community guidelines.
- Applies device-level protections against screen capture on supported platforms, while being clear that no software can prevent someone photographing a screen with another device.
- Designs features so that personal contact details are not exposed by default.
